In 2017, my wife and I traded our life of suitcases and boarding passes for one of diapers and burp cloths, as we welcomed the newest member of our family, Micah. And if caring for a newborn wasn’t busy enough, it was also our busiest wedding season yet. Thank you to all the couples and families that I had the privilege of working with this year! Farewell to 2017, and cheers to what’s to come in 2018. With that, I leave you with some of my favorite photos from this crazy year!
Oh, 2016 was a whirlwind of year. My wife and I were bitten by the travel bug, and, in one year's span, we were able to travel to Las Vegas, Disneyland, Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas (again), San Diego, New York City, Disneyland (again), and Chicago. I was able to stand beside my brother at the altar as he married my new sister-in-law. Also, I'm a proud new uncle and plan to photograph the heck out of my new adorable niece. And, of course, I photographed dozens of weddings and portrait sessions for clients both new and old. :)
It was an uncharacteristically hot Saturday morning in September this past weekend. But, despite the searing sun and the early hours of the day, the St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School campus in Vallejo, Calif. (my alma mater!) teemed with young adults wearing brightly colored shirts and waving homemade banners to kick-off the 2013 Koinonia Cup.
My nieces Simonah and Maleah celebrated their 7th and 5th birthdays today — and it was art-themed (extremely fitting for two little girls whose parents are quite artistic themselves).
The party, which took place at a small recreation center in San Rafael, California, had all the fixins': a bounce house, pizza, "creative juice," and tables covered with enough art supplies to put Michael's out of business.
