One of the best things about being a photographer? Having an opportunity to reconnect with old friends. To reminisce about the good old days. To talk about where we’ve been, where we are, and where we envision we’re going in the near future.
That was what I was able to do with Marielle and Brandon, on a brisk Sunday evening in October.
Marielle is a high school classmate whom I haven’t seen in over 10 years. And, while I may not have known Brandon prior to this photo shoot, he’s just one of those dudes that you immediately feel connected to and like you’ve known for a good portion of your life.
Our time that evening at the Embarcadero in San Francisco felt more like a nice, warm catch-up session. We bonded over Marielle’s and my newfound obsession of tattoo collecting. They talked shop about their careers in the culinary and music industries. And I talked their ears off about my toddler son — because that’s what we first-time fathers do.
These two may not be officially engaged yet, but why should that stop us from capturing their love and sharing these beautiful images with the world?
