Many would say that the popular television comedy "The Office" boasts the quintessential workplace romance. Well, call me crazy, but I would say Chelsea and David's office love story surpasses that of Jim and Pam's. Why? Well, because they aren't fictional. And neither is their love.

Joaquin Miller Park Family Photography - The Buchanan Family

This family has a special place in my heart. Possibly it's because Mike and Jehn photographed my own wedding. Or perhaps it's because their oldest, Royce, shares my love for LEGOs and is best buds with my puppy, Henri. Or maybe it's because little Sebastian is so stinkin' adorable and acknowledges me as "Mr. Reggie". The list just goes on.

Saratoga Springs Wedding Photography - Amanda and Brent

I'd like to use the metaphor of a s'more to tell you about this unforgettable wedding I photographed. This s'more, in particular, had four ingredients. First, you have the graham crackers (the foundation and support): they represent the lifelong family and friends who've gathered to celebrate the couple and their special day. Second, you have the oh-so-gooey marshmallows (the sugar and the fluff) representing Saratoga Springs, the gorgeous outdoor wedding venue where the couple exchanged vows underneath the towering redwoods and lush greenery. Third, you have the chocolate (the sweetness) embodied by a chocolate brown lab named Kaylee, who stole everyone's hearts (mine included) with her gigantic smile and never-ending excitement for her mom and dad. And fourth? Well, that was something extra special, and you'll have to scroll down to see just what that is...

Junipero Serra Park Family Photography - The P. Family

Two Sundays ago, I made my way over to Junipero Serra Park in San Bruno to spend the morning with one very adorable family. The weather was just right, and the light was perfect. And the family? Well, they were sweet, silly, and everything in between. What more could a photographer ask for? Nothing really.

Visual Intermission - Travel Photography: New York City

Visual Intermission - Travel Photography: New York City

I've never been much of a city person. Maybe it's all the crazy drivers. Or maybe it's the immense crowds of people (who I feel are all watching me). Or maybe it's the constant hustle and bustle, keeping me from ever taking a moment to relax and let it all soak in. But when I went to New York City for the first time three weeks ago, it was this craziness that made me absolutely fall in love with the city. As I trekked the streets -- clocking in over 40,000 steps throughout the sole day I spent in the city -- I made sure to "swim with the current" of businessmen, fashionistas, and tourists. And when I stopped, the city (and all its craziness) kept moving, breathing, and simply going -- leaving me to create images, capture moments, and just take in the beauty of this otherworldly solitude.

San Francisco 49ers Engagement Photography - Sonali and Darshan

Well before my first interaction with Darshan and Sonali, they already had a game plan set for their engagement photos: an epic session amidst the stands of Levi's Stadium. I mean, for a couple of die-hard San Francisco 49er fans, it was an absolute no-brainer. Figuring out who was the bigger 49er fan between the two of them? Well, that wasn't quite so simple.

Bodega Bay Family Photography - The Chang Family

During the Fourth of July weekend, I met up with the Chang family for a family portrait session at Bodega Bay. For you readers who don't know, the "Chang Gang" is made up of 12 people -- four of which are young boys. So to be completely honest, leading up to the session I was a little anxious. Why, you ask? Well, I really wasn't quite sure what to expect!

Benicia Family Photography - Gabe Turns Two

A year ago, we met Gabriel here on the blog. Back then, he was cute, adorable, and well... stationary. Today, Gabe is just as cute and adorable as he's ever been, but there's one notable difference: he's mobile. I'm not talking about leisurely strolling. He's fast. He runs, jumps, and climbs to his heart's desire. And as for me, the lucky photographer who gets to try and keep up with him? Well, I'm pretty sure I'm ready to be the next American Ninja Warrior.

Pleasant Hill Wedding Photography - Monica and Joaquin

Pleasant Hill Wedding Photography - Monica and Joaquin

Trust is hard to come by these days. And faith? Well, that’s an even rarer occurrence. I witnessed both on Monica and Joaquin’s wedding day, which took place at the beautiful grounds of the Pleasant Hill Community Center. Before I continue, it’s important to note that Monica and Joaquin’s wedding ceremony was set to take place outdoors. And on the eve of their big day, the weather forecast predicted a high chance of rain. Despite these odds, they proceeded as planned and had faith in whatever God had in store for their wedding day. Safety second? I say yes.

San Francisco Engagement Photography - Christine and Reynaldo

For those of you who don't already know: Reynaldo (or JR as I call him) is my older brother, and Christine is his lovely bride-to-be. To start of this post, let me tell you a couple of things about them. First, they're Sharks fans -- so thanks to Christine for sacrificing valuable Sharks playoff time to pose for my camera. And second they can endlessly exchange 90's movie quotes -- like endlessly! Which comes useful, when trying to get my brother to have a natural smile (haha). Well this past Sunday, I spent the evening with them at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.

Santa Rosa Winery Wedding Photography - K & K

It was an honor and a pleasure to help photograph this Santa Rosa wedding. It was absolutely perfect. The venue was gorgeous. The decorations were ornate. And the day went off without a hitch. My favorite part? Seeing the nervousness and excitement in a little pup's face as its owner (the bride) got ready to marry her groom.

For those of you who know me, you already know that I'm not much of a baseball fan. However, I am a fan of weddings. And this wedding in particular had quite a few baseball details sprinkled throughout the beautiful day. So you know what? By association, I guess you can call me a baseball fan then. Right?!
